The «Turais Sound» consists of deep, clean chunky off-beat bounce that progresses seamlessly into a new type of driving, galloping bassline. This is tied together with an overall narrative arc designed to keep the listener guessing and to keep them invested. Turais’ stories are uplifting, but he spend the time to make sure what he write is sincere and never cheap or lazy. Good music is driven by passion, and passion leads to hard work: hours and hours in the studio. He spend those hours of time, so that his music will not waste a minute of your time.
In Psytrance, one of the biggest goals for a producer, and one of the hardest, is finding a unique sound, a flavour that identifies you as an artist. Here’s a brand new dish for you guys to taste… Turais spent years fine-tuning his studio and production techniques in order to attain world-class, professional audio output, then added some fresh (and timeless) ideas, threw in a big dollop of his own vision of where music should take us, then mixed it all together and got Turais – Psytrance with a tauch of class. Turais believes music expresses exactly who we are, and is proud to pul his name to this project.
Biography
Kevin «Turais» Wehrli’s music career started when he was 18 years old. That’s when he went to a disco for the first time learned about DJ’s.
He was immediately sold and wanted to become a DJ too. He bought 2 cdj 2000 and a 900 nexus mixer and visited disco’s every weekend to learn the skills of a DJ. Under the name «KevZero» he started playing house music, then techno and finally choose psy trance to be his main genre. He crossed the border of Switzerland and started playing internationally in Italy, Austria and Germany.
At the age of 20, KevZero decided to start producing his own music too and changed his name to «Turais» while still performing as a DJ. Turias comes from his passion for stars and so the name was born. He taught himself how to produce, went to the SAE school to learn sound engineering and entered different masterclasses. Producers like Vini Vici, Armin van Buuren, Timmy Trumpet and W & W inspire him to produce psy trance and to develop his unique vision. Now he’s owning his own studio, that he build himself, and founded his won label «Rise of Recordings». Playing in topnotch venue’s like OXA Club in Switzerland leaves a good impact in the DJ world and you can only expect more to come of this young and ambitious talent!
